Which windows to choose for your house: standard, energy-efficient, or premium

Windows affect both your heating bills and the house's facade — yet the decision about them often gets made last. Here's which type to choose, and when.

Windows are one of the few elements of a house that affect both the facade's aesthetics and your monthly heating bills at the same time. Yet the decision about window type is often made last, already during construction, even though it's worth planning at the design stage.

Standard windows

A double-chamber glass unit — the optimal balance of price and insulation for most climate conditions. A sensible baseline choice if windows aren't the top budget priority.

Energy-efficient windows

A triple-chamber profile with reinforced insulation noticeably reduces heat loss compared to the standard option. The extra cost of the windows pays for itself through lower heating expenses — especially noticeable when paired with a heat pump.

Premium windows

Large-format panoramic windows with maximum energy efficiency — the choice for projects where large glazed surfaces are part of the architectural concept (minimalism, modern contemporary). A more expensive option that requires a more precise calculation of the house's thermal balance.

How to choose for your own project

Window type is one of the parameters accounted for directly in the construction configurator: choose an option and see how it affects the estimated budget and energy efficiency of your future house.
